Description

 

Ashoka is an organisation founded in 1980 and now with an annual budget of over $30m.

 

It supports individual social entrepreneurs. It brings them together to share ideas, best practices and leverage scale. And it helps to build the infrastructure and systems needed to support the citizen sector and social innovation globally.

 

Ashoka employs around 160 staff in 25 regional offices throughout Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa. It has established programs in over 60 countries, supporting the work of over 2000 social entrepreneurs or Ashoka Fellows.
