This simple simulator enables you to explore the impact of reducing CO2 emissions by different amounts:  http://scripts.mit.edu/~jfmartin/sip/master/

Drag the red arrow to adjust total global CO2 emissions by different amounts, and then view the blue line, which shows the impact on total CO2 in the atmosphere.

Then consider what different people are telling us about how much CO2 it is "safe" to have in the atmosphere, and explore what it would take to return to the levels of the early 1900s.
