Safe upper limit for atmospheric CO2

Summary

This is a good example of why we need companies to be a Force for Good because it clearly demonstrates the urgency of the situation and the need to act, now.

Description

This blog quotes "rogue Nasa scientist James Hansen" (linked) as saying that the safe upper limit for atmospheric CO2 is 350 parts per million, and we are already over 380ppm.

It may be "only a blog" but a recent article in the London Financial Times ("Climate Change Study Points Finger", 9 May 2008) quotes the IPCC as saying that "there has been only warming of 0.75 degrees centrigrade so far, yet the expectation for this century is four to nine times that amount."
