If you want to upload content of any kind (perhaps an example from your own organisation) you must first register in My Account. You can then use the Uploaded Content feature. Just like posting comments on Amazon.com, whatever you upload will then be checked and moderated before it apppears on the site.
When you find content that is especially interesting you can rate is using the stars feature. This will help others to find the most valuable content.
You can also store it in a specially created folder. Use My Account to create one or more folders, and then use "Save to my folder" to save the piece of content to the folder.
If you want to contribute a complete blog or debate piece for the homepage we would love to hear from you. Please contact us at admin@forceforgood.com.
The world is facing many major crises - in energy, climate, popluation and the economy (amongst others).
Creating solutions to these problems calls for extraordinary inventiveness and innovation. Not just new ideas but ideas that are followed through, delivered, and made to work sustainably.
Of all the different institutions that human beings have invented, it is business that has shown the most extraordinary capacity to deliver practical innovative solutions to real problems.
We all now need that inventiveness to be put to work, to address the key problems we all face. We all need business to become a force for good.
This website is a place where people from across the globe can come together to help make that happen.
'My Folders' is a way of saving useful or interesting content that you find around the site, and grouping it into folders.
To use it, go to My Account, and then click on 'My Folders' on the right hand side. Click 'Create New Folder' and enter a title and summary description. Do this to create as many folders as you like. When viewing any piece of content (article, video, etc) you can then click the "Save to my folder" button and add the content to one of your folders.
Alternatively you can first click on "Save to my folder" and then "Create new folder", but be aware that you will have to save the new folder before you save the piece of content.
Whenever you upload content to the website or add it to a folder you are asked to add tags or keywords to mark what the material is about.
The 'My Relevant Content' link is a folder containing other material from across the website that is likely to be relevant to your interests, based on the tags that you have used and the tags that other people have used to mark other content.
A tag is a keyword that you can use to record what a piece of content is about. It is like tying a marker or a label to the outside of a suitcase - hence 'tag'.
The 'tag cloud' shows all the different tags that users of the website have applied, with the size and brightness of the text indicating how many times that tag is being used. This helps you see what tags are most popular in the website, and also helps you find content likely to have a similar theme.
One of the most important ways to help push forward the debate, thinking, and practice of how companies can become a force for good is by users uploading content - perhaps examples from their own organisations, perhaps examples from elsewhere.
If you want to upload a piece of content you must first register or log in under My Account. You can then use the Uploaded Content feature.
Please be sure to check out the
guidelines that are posted there on what kinds of content are relevant for the site. Then, just like comments posted on Amazon, your suggested content will then be reviewed before appearing on the site.
And THANK YOU in advance!
