It’s time to reinvent CSR.  In fact, it’s time to reinvent business strategy. In the last two years, companies have been transforming. Now, recession is being replaced by reinvention.  The shapes have been unclear. But today the fog is lifting and a new shape is beginning to emerge.

The new shape has a name. It is sustainable business. A sustainable business acts to achieve short, medium and long term success. Sustainable means successful today and tomorrow.
 


What are the beliefs that drive a forceforgood company

For some time I have been convinced that the stated values of a company are not as powerful as the beliefs that drive the decisions of its leaders. The problem is that values are usually stated (usually not actionable and usually the same as most other companies) while beliefs, which do lead to action, are usually not stated.


Why your Big Society is not big enough

David Cameron has plans for a Big Society. “We want to give citizens, communities and local government the power and information they need to come together, solve the problems they face and build the Britain they want.“

It’s less than two months into this new government and it is already becoming increasingly clear that their plans for a big society are not big enough. Let me explain why.
