The Tomorrow’s Global Talent report is the result of a long term collaborative inquiry process which sought to answer the question, ‘How do leading organisations create value through people?’. This audio piece documents the launch of the report at BT Tower, London. Mr. AS Lakshminarayanan, Vice President, Tata Consultancy Services (UKI Country Manager) was the key note speaker, and the other speakers and panellists included Sir Mike Rake and representatives from all the partner organisations involved in  the report.

Pavan Sukhdev, Managing Director & Head of Global Markets, Deutsche Bank India, talks about adjusted GDP metrics in the context of Indian sustainable development and in particlular a piece of work the Green Accouniting Porject, being being conducted by his organisation, the Green Indian States Trust.

Arie de Geus spent 38 years on three continents as a line manager at Royal Dutch Shell, and finished his career as the Corporate Planning Director in charge of business and scenario planning.  Since his retirement de Geus has advised organisations of all kinds, has been  published in many countries in several different languages, and continues to be a sought-after speaker.  His 1988 Harvard Business Review article, "Planning as Learning", established him as a leading expert in organisational learning.  Arie de Geus has been a Visiting Fellow at London Business School and adviser to many governments and private institutions. In this interview he discusses his thoery of organisations, importantly how well run organisations are far more than the sum of their parts.

In this audio recording Peter Davis discusses the rationale behind the report ‘A light but effective touch’, which he worked on as chairman of the Conservative Party Working Group on Responsible Business Practice. He argues that Governmental legislation alone is not able to tackle issues such as rising obesity and the drinking culture in Britain. The report suggests that the business can play a prominent role and concludes that solutions can be found if the government acts as a catalyst to bring organisations together in Responsibility Deals. Peter Davis is the co director of the Ethical Corporation Institute and political editor of Ethical Corporation. He has written widely and has a wealth of experience previously working throughout the globe for NATO, Shell, BSkyB and Diageo.The full report can be read here
